The Design Process
Crafting exquisite, cosy, and enduring interiors is our core passion. Our team comprises skilled interior designers and architects dedicated to tailoring homes to the unique requirements of each client. We consider factors such as location, context, client brief, and personal taste in our design process.
Our expertise extends to a diverse range of projects, spanning from furnishing show homes for developers to sensitively refurbishing Grade II listed buildings of historical significance. We also tackle large-scale residential projects, offering comprehensive interior design and interior architecture services. Throughout years of experience, we have refined our process and services to ensure an efficient yet thorough design experience, divided into the following stages.
The Project Brief
Critical to the success of any project is ensuring that the interiors authentically reflect our client’s requirements and aspirations. In the brief stage, we invest time in understanding how the client intends to utilise the property, their personal style, lifestyle, and aspirations. Utilising a site visit or floor plans and photographs, we build a comprehensive picture of the project. Simultaneously, we ensure a thorough grasp of all factors, such as the timeline, budget, and any structural or administrative requirements. Following this meticulous briefing stage, we present a proposal to the client outlining the project brief as we comprehend it, accompanied by an estimated budget for the FF&E and our associated design fee.
Concept Design
Upon interpreting the detailed brief, we will unveil the concept designs. These designs will encompass floor plans that showcase the proposed furniture layouts and any necessary structural changes. Additionally, we will present mood boards featuring samples of all proposed finishes along with imagery depicting suggested furniture and joinery concepts. This stage thrives on collaboration, and we encourage our clients to provide extensive feedback, ensuring alignment with their vision.
Design Development
Upon approval of all concept designs, we advance to the design development and detail design stage. We will present the final bespoke furniture, joinery, and interior architecture drawings. Additionally, a comprehensive presentation of all final finishes, curated art, and accessories will be showcased for client approval. At this stage, we will also provide a fully itemised breakdown of costs in alignment with the agreed budget.
Realisation
The schedule of works will be outlined and mutually agreed upon. Once all onsite requirements are met, construction will commence. Our project coordinators and designers will attend regular site meetings to ensure precise execution of our designs and monitor the project’s progress as planned. Throughout the process, we will keep the client consistently updated and oversee the snagging period, providing assurance and allowing our client to enjoy their property with peace of mind.
